Mental health awareness for teens in Middle Tennessee
In a world where the challenges of mental health can often feel isolating and overwhelming, we’re here to provide a beacon of hope, education, and support. Our commitment is simple yet profound: to empower young minds to navigate their mental health journeys with resilience, open dialogue, and the unwavering support of a community that truly cares.
The Jacob Strong 615 Foundation believes that education and awareness are the initial steps to suicide prevention. We want to develop a triangle of prevention by offering teens, educators, and parents the resources and tools to help spot and assist at-risk teens.
We are changing the way things are done and developing a change in how parents or teens approach mental health by:
- Developing and researching effective ways to protect and promote good mental health.
- Offering everyone evidence-backed resources and facts
- Conducting campaigns; and working in conjunction with local communities to promote good mental health.
What we do
At Jacob Strong 615, we strive to make a difference in various ways:
Awareness
We organize events, workshops, and campaigns to raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental health. Our goal is to educate individuals about the signs of mental distress and how they can help someone who may be at risk.
Support
We provide emotional support for families who have lost a loved one to suicide. Through counseling sessions, support groups, and resource sharing, we aim to help these families navigate their grief journey.
Advocacy
We advocate for prioritizing mental health care and suicide prevention strategies. We help advocate for teen behavior change through various guidance and counseling seminars.
Join us
We invite you to join us in our mission to prevent suicide and support those affected by it. Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or simply share our message, your contribution can make a significant difference.
